Red Berries
I often see these berries around the edge of the river, usually tangled in some vines. They don't grow on a vine but more of a bush, but usually grow with vines around them. They are very red and just pop against their brown surroundings. I have no idea what they are. Evidently the birds don't eat them though, for they are visible all winter. A bright spot in the brown for sure, a welcome site in a long winter. Now if I could just catch them all coated in snow :)
How far away are you from these berries? Just curous.. they look like baby tomatoes:)
ReplyDeleteVery close, a few inches..... macro lens.
ReplyDeleteThey are very small Jen, about the sized of a cooked green pea.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - and you berries are in far better shape then the shriveled up ones around here! Love the bright red!
ReplyDeleteOh, those are gorgeous! What a beautiful pop of color this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWe have something that looks similar around here but these ones do grow on a vine and are NOT to be eaten. They are from the Woody Nightshade plant, I think and poisonous, although not as bad as deadly nightshade.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have captured the sheen on the berries.
So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pop of red!
