Acorns!  Love the details in their little caps.... almost look like shingles on a roof.

I am enjoying these pretty dried flowers I brought in before everything froze outside.

I was having company for supper and suddenly realized I didn't have bread made :)  The company was due in about one hour and my husband was gone in our vehicle.  So I decided to try the 45 minute roll recipe that has been floating around on facebook.  I was quiet surprised.  From start to ready to serve the rolls took right at an hour and I left them to rise a little longer than it said to.  They were pretty good, light and fluffy.  I didn't think they were hardly as tasty as my normal recipe but they didn't take several hours to make either. I even made homemade honey butter to top them off!

I think this recipe is a keeper for when I need rolls fast.

#324 Of 365 for Wednesday November 20, 2013

Our yorkie, Abbi.  She was so funny I would tell her to sit and she would for just a few seconds then she would flop down on her belly and look at me.  Hmmmmm.... do you suppose she thought she was going to have to endure a lengthy modeling session??   :)

#323 of 365 for Tuesday November 19, 2013

I was surprised to find a few leaves still on some of the bushes, and even more surprised to find one with both green and yellow leaves on it.  Most of the leaves are on the ground, dead, dry, and brown but this bush still had some pretty leaves.... not very many though.

I found these tiny little berries on a small tree. Maybe a type of crabapple?

#321 of 365

I don't know what these little berries are but they seem to grow around the edge of the river, near the cattails and reeds. They sure show up now that everything else is brown.

#317 of 365 for Wednesday November 13, 2013

The other day I needed a leaf that I could paste into a bulletin I was working on.  I got the idea to see if I could shoot some pretty leaves on white backgrounds, so I could easily lift them from the background and copy them to paste into other things.   It was almost dark today by the time I got around to trying this.  I am hoping to try it again tomorrow with a little more window light and see if I can make them look better.

There were roses blooming at my church on Sunday!  Now when I lived in South Carolina I had roses blooming the week of Thanksgiving but I didn't quiet expect roses to last this long in Michigan.

#315 of 365 for Monday November 11, 2013

I was walking along the edge of Pine River hoping to find some cattails or pretty leaves to shoot when I spotted this pretty wildflowers! I shot them earlier in the fall and figured they were gone by now. Evidently they are protected well enough from the weather that they are still blooming.

The wind and rain have brought most of the leaves off the trees. Today as I helped DH rake the leaves, I was delighted to discover this pretty little mushroom.

Many of our trees are now bare, having shed their leaves, but if you look you can still find some pretty ones!

#308 of 365 for Monday November 4, 2013

This cool, rainy, dreary weather of fall makes me want to bake.  I love the simple deliciousness of a homemade apple pie.  Oh it was so yummy topped with a scoop of vanilla icecream!

#305 of 365 for Friday November 1, 2013

The wind blew and it rained hard most of the night and part of the day today. Lots of the leaves are on the ground, but we still have spots of pretty color in Michigan.
