Well it was a windy day here in Michigan so I ended up having to carry the plant inside the garage to shoot it.  I even had to move it into a corner away from the door to keep it still enough to shoot.  And the little red bud I was shooting last night was all opened up into a flower today, so I had to choose another bud and it wasn't in front of a red flower that I could use for a background like the one last night.

One of my favorite things about spring and summer is growing a vegetable garden. I love planting the little seed in the ground, watching them spring forth with life, and caring for them as they grow and bring forth fruit.

On a recent visit to Dow Gardens, I snapped this shot. The people in the scene are doing a newborn shoot. Dow Gardens is awesome for photoshoots!

After spending a week with us today is the day Samantha must go home.  So Pappy got to read her one last book.... well maybe a few books.  She loves to listen to stories.

Samantha loves to cook or help do anything in the kitchen.  I made yellow cupcakes with white chocolate / cream cheese frosting.   Oh they were so yummy!  Samantha loved putting the sprinkles on them.  I had 3 colors for her to choose from and she immediately knew which colors she wanted to use.  She decorated about a dozen and then she had to sample her work.

My friend, Pat & I took a camera class recently. On the last night of the class our assigment was a photo scavenger hunt. We went walking out into the surrounding city looking for an assigned list of items. Pat ask this little girl to pose for her and she sweetly complied. I just had to sneak a shot. She is so cute. I wish I knew who she was so she she could see the picture.

I was watching this squirrel scamper around, all of a sudden it started raining. He posed on the tree for a minute then ran up the tree, sat on a branch and put his tail up over his head as though he was keeping the rain off his head. He sat there till the shower was over then scampered down again.
